What we watch for
Cancer patients at home face risks that can escalate rapidly and without obvious warning. Our nurses monitor for fever in immunocompromised patients — which constitutes a medical emergency — alongside signs of dehydration, uncontrolled pain, treatment reactions, and declining functional status. We also watch for signs of emotional deterioration that may affect treatment adherence.
